Hawaii's volcanoes are producing approx 1000 tons of sulfer dioxide each day. When the sulfer dioxide mixes with the oxygen and sunlight it produces VOG which is volcanic pollution. However this mixture then becomes gases and aerosols which are acidic in nature.
